Bubble Popper - Pan Hook
Bubbles are a pizza's best friend. One works hard to keep the dough alive, to bubble and get crusty in the oven while cooked. But every once in a while, there can be an "out-of-control" bubble that needs to be tamed. This Bubble Popper - Pan Hook is a great tool for just such a circumstance. Just "POP" & drag... and the bubble goes away.
This is the perfect scenario where the job is easier if one uses the right tool for the right job. In this video arethe Pizza Pan Grippers - Italian.
These things get a bad-rap in the woodfired oven community. I understand. People believe (as do I) that the pizza should be placed directly on the hearth. But sometimes, the hearth can be scorching hot and burn the bottom of your pie. Pizza Screens defuse the heat. The trick is to place the pie in the oven - then once it's "set" or "puffed-up" the screen can be removed. In this video are the 15" Pizza Screen, Spoodle - sauce ladle, 1/4 Sheet Pan and the Copper Olive Oil Can/Cruet - 3 pint (retired item)
Perfect Pizza Serving Tray
Why spend the time to create a beautiful crispy crust... and then let it lay on a metal tray where it can get greasy and soft? These wonderful trays prevent your pizza from getting soggy because they let liquid and moisture from steam run to the bottom of the pan, while the pizza rests on top of raised nibs on the bottom of the pan. In this video are the Perfect Pizza Serving Tray, Aluminum 16" Tray, and the Pizza Cutter - 4" blade.
Rocking Pizza Knife
Rock and Roll baby.... Cut your pizza clean and fast. Here's a quick demo video of the Rocking Pizza Knife. Easy to use and makes a great gift for the pizza aficionado.
Frankie G's notes: I personally have used this since the first firing of my oven. Note the sliding handles. These peels are fixed with one secure handle at the end, and one sliding handle on the stainless-steel rod. This allows its operator to easily maneuver the peel where needed, without readjusting one's hands. GREAT design! It's not only a wood fired oven necessity, it's really fun to use.
This wonderful Italian peel is sturdy, flexible and perforated. This allows most of the flour to fall from the bottom of the pizza as it is scooped onto the peel and before it enters the oven. Thus promoting a cleaner oven and a tastier crust.
Why a draft door? Sometimes a fire needs a little push. This door feeds a constant air flow to the fire, feeding the flame so it burns more aggressively.
Our draft door has an opening in the bottom of the door to promote positive air flow into your oven chamber, to feed the fire or coals inside your oven. Once the air has heated, it travels along the dome of your oven, and out the front opening, where the door directs the hot exhaust up the flu. All this goes on while the opening to your oven is shielded from letting out too much heat.
This is just about the coolest invention. I know that my mother and grandmother wished they had one... The only way they could stop stirring the pot... was to teach me to do it!
...and after they taught me to cook... I looked around for the next victim. Well not anymore.
For those who make polenta, large pots of sauce, or even candy... this is for you - AND THIS THING WORKS!!
This automatic pot stirrer will fit two-handled sauce pots from 9" to 14" or 9-16 quarts. It's powered by 4 "C" batteries, stirs continuous or intermittently, and comes with two heat-resistant blades (up to 375 degrees). 2 stackable blades stir at different levels for better consistency.
